The LifeSpan Center is home to numerous intergenerational programs and services that serve the needs of Coles County. Client Comfort and Safety have been ensured by combining the Mattoon and Charleston AreaSenior Centers in one modern, attractive, multi-purpose location.

From the covered drive to the umbrella shaded patio to the state of the art movie theater, the LifeSpan Center is fully accessible by persons of all ages and abilities. Our facility houses ceramics, exercise classes, Bible studies, family movies, pool table lessons, and much more to meet the social and wellness needs of Coles County Residents. Green space development and cooperative arrangements with Eastern IllinoisUniversity and Lake Land College will continue to expand our broad array of activities. Additionally, weddings, expos, retreats, recitals, and party rentals are welcome at the LifeSpan Center. We strive to be at  the Center of the Coles County Community.

Adjacent to the LifeSpan Center is the Dial-A-Ride vehicle storage facility in which there are modern amenities and greater capabilities than ever before.  

As the LifeSpan Center has gone from a dream to a reality, ten years of hard work and fundraising have already paid dividends in the community that we could not have imagined.
